How To Cancel Your Service

While we hate to see you move on without us, we want to make sure you know exactly what steps to follow when canceling your service. There is already a quick tutorial on this in the Knowledge Base but I’m going to go through the steps again right now with a bit more detail.

Step 1: Log in to your account at

Step 2: In the top right corner of your Dashboard, click on the “Account” link.

Step 3: From here you look to the submenu on the left side of the screen and click on “Billing.”

Step 4: On the right side of the page you will see “Cancel Website” with an option to “Click here to select a site cancellation option.”

Step 5: You will be presented with a dropdown list of all the sites you currently have with us. Pick the site you want to cancel and it will show you the date you are paid through along with a couple options, “Cancel at the end of the billing period” or “Cancel immediately.”

Step 6: Pick your option, fill out the rest of the form and click “Cancel Service.”

I’ve been asked before why we don’t allow cancellations over the phone or through email and here is why… because that is not secure. We require you to log in to your account and cancel using this process so we can verify ownership of the domain and also to have a paper trail of your request in case there is a future dispute. This process takes maybe 2 minutes to complete and you will be guaranteed it will be done correctly.
