Managing Images


Use to place pictures and graphics on your website. Websites Now comes with a preset collection of images that are ready to use almost anywhere in a web page; additionally, this site builder also allows to use your own images. In other words, this place stores pictures to use now or at a later time.

 

IMAGE MANAGEMENT AREA

Choose what kind of images you want to upload:

1.) Website Body Images

2.) Custom Image for left Hand side of Your Site

3.) Product Images
 

 

WebSite Body Images

This section will present a picture gallery of all the images that can be used on the main pages of your website. (Keep in mind that it is not necessary to upload pictures here in order to use them in a web page. See Manage Pages for more information.)

Custom Image for Left Hand Side

 Use to upload pictures for use above the Site Map (se example below). This picture will show on all the web pages of your website. It is not possible to customize a page to show a left-hand picture different from other pages.

Note: This area is to upload left-hand side images only. Configure the image to display at Left Side Image

Image Dimensions must be 124x99 Pixels or they will be automatically resized.

Note:  If the image is too large, Websites Now will automatically resize it.
 

     

 

 

Product Images

Images listed or uploaded here can be utilized only when enabling Websites Now' E-Commerce shopping cart service. (Not to be confused with the E-Commerce from our Hosting Control Panel. These are separate services.)

Note: This area is to upload product images only. In order to work with your shopping cart please click the E-Commerce button at the Websites Now main menu.

  1. Click the Browse... button and select the image to upload
  2. Click on the Upload Picture button

More Information on Image Management

WebSite Body Images (for use in the pages of your website)

This section allows you to upload images for use for the body of your webpages you create.  These images can also be used for a custom header graphic for your website.  To add an image to the body of your website, click on the "Add Image Button" when you are editing a page with the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) page editor. 
The image looks like this:

It will then display a listing of all images that you uploaded to this section.

Simply click on an image to add it to your site.

Custom Image for Left Hand Side of Your Site (The single image above the "Site Map" on the left)

This adds images that can be used on the left hand side of your website, above the Image Map.  To add an image that you have uploaded from this section, click on the "Left Side" navigation in the "Site Options" section to view the new images you uploaded (they are often at the end of the listing of left side graphics.)  Simply click on the new image to use it on the left side of your site.  Often they are appended to the very end of the list of graphics on the second or third page.

Product Images (Images that you will use to represent your products in your online catalog)

These images are used for products when you are adding or editing a product with the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) page editor in the "E-Commerce" portion of the website administration.

Images you upload here will be available for use with all of your products and thumbnails
