3.   Change Page Order
4.   Number of Buttons Per Line

Main pages are the top buttons on the site, from which sub pages can fall under them like "sub-categories".  If you create a sub-page under a main page, the sub-page is only viewable under that main page.

NEW page help section

How do I ADD a page?
A Main Page is a page containing general information about a topic while a Sub Pages is a subset of that topic. For example, one topic can be fruit and another topic be vegetables. So, what about fruits? we can have sub pages giving examples of different kinds of fruits.

To illustrate:

Fruit

main page 1

 - apples

sub page 1

 - oranges

sub page 2

 - bananas

sub page 3

 - grapes

sub page 4

Vegetables

main page 2

 - tomatoes

sub page 1

 - carrots

sub page 2

Main Page: Fruit     Sub Pages: Apples, Oranges, Bananas, Grapes

To add a page, simply click on the "NEW" button above, and it will take you to the screen where you can input your new page name and add the content for the page. To add content use the "What You See Is What You Get" (WYSIWYG) editor. It will allow you to easily add text and graphics to your site, without having to know complicated HTML and coding.

How do I create an image to work with my web site?
You will need to acquire an image by scanning, using a digital camera, or creating it by computer with a program such as "Adobe Photoshop" or "Paint Shop Pro". You can also find web ready images on the Internet that can be downloaded and used free of change. Just search for "Royalty Free Images" or "Royalty Free Photos" in a search engine to find a listing. Once you have acquired your image, you must use your graphics program to change the size of the image to fit on your web site. A couple of image dimensions of concern are:
For a custom header graphic: 780 pixels width, and 200 pixels height.
For a custom left side image: 124 pixels width, and 99 pixels height.
No images that will appear in the body of your site should exceed 400 pixels in width.

To add an image to the body of your website, click on the "Add Image Button" when you are editing a page with the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) page editor.
The image on the WYSIWYG looks like this:

It will then display a listing of all images that you uploaded to this section.

Simply click on an image to add it to your site.

Go to the "Manage Images" section to upload the new images to your website.

CHANGE PAGE ORDER help section

Change Order

Use this panel to arrange the order of links. Position 1 indicates the left-most side of the menu bar, position 4 indicates the right-most side of the menu bar. Arrange pages in the desired order.

Current View Order

Your button order is set to:

   Position 1:  Home

   Position 2: Fruit

   Position 3: Sharks

   Position 4: Vegetables

   Position 5: About

   Position 6: Contact

This display will show as many Positions as there are pages available.

  1. Use the pull-down menu to select a page
  2. Choose each one only once
  3. arrange in the order desired
  4. Click on the CHANGE ORDER button to update
  5. done!
First see how your buttons are currently lined up by looking under the: "Currently your button order is set to" Section. Once you have seen how they are currently situated, go to the "Set the order your buttons will display here:" Section. Here you will select a new page for each drop down box.

If your pages were:
Position 1:      Home
Position 2:      ShopOnline
Position 3:      About Us
Position 4:      Services
Position 5:      Contact Us

And you want to change it to:
Position 1:      Services
Position 2:      Home
Position 3:      ShopOnline
Position 4:      About Us
Position 5:      Contact Us

then make the appropriate selections under the "Set the order your buttons will display here:"

The main thing to remember is that each page must be selected only ONCE, but you must also be sure to choose every single page. In other words, be sure not to leave any pages out of the selection, or to choose any page twice in the selection boxes. Otherwise an error could occur.

SPECIFIY HOW MANY BUTTONS ARE DISPLAYED PER LINE help section

This setting allows to specify the number of buttons that are displayed per line in the navigation bar. If  the names in the menu bar are too long, the format can look disfigured so this tool allows to select a smaller number of buttons per line.

  1. Enter the number of buttons per line
  2. Click on the Update number button
  3. Check the layout of your menu bar
  4. Repeat process till satisfied

Examples:

6 links per line in the menu bar

4 links per line in the menu bar

The benifits of this are apparent if you have long names for your pages. It allows you to select a smaller number of buttons per line, becuase the longer page names will make each button wider, and if those names extend beyond the website boundries, it can destroy the websites formating.
