Step 1 - Folder and Company Information


The first step of the installation allows you to input information about your company, and setup the folder your site will be located at (this is a temporary address), and it allows you to setup a password to the website administration tool.



A.) Web Address

This step allows you to choose a temporary website folder name that will be used to create your site until the time comes to register a custom domain (.com) name.  DO NOT PUT WWW.YOURCOMPANYNAME.COM this is not the area where you setup a domain for your company.  This Web Address should be something like "billsshoes" for a company called "Bill's Shoe Emporium". This Web Address (folder name) should be something simple, but descriptive of your company.

To register or setup a domain name for your website, contact us about the easiest way to get it going. 

B.) Choose Password

This is where you choose a password that will be used in your website's administration utility.  It should be something that is easy enough for you to remember, but hard enough that it cannot be guessed easily.  These is no limit in length for this password, but do not use spaces, or any characters that are out of the ordinary.

C.) Business Name</font>

The Business Name you type here will appear in large bold font at the top of every page on your web site. You can later replace this with a graphical logo of your company if you wish.

D.) Business Tagline

This is a secondary description of your business. It will appear next to your business name at the top of the page. It is not required that you add a business tagline to your website.

  Example: A Business that is Dependable
  Example: The Financial Experts

E.) Company Information

This information will be used to create the "Contact Us" page of your website, as well as the footer, and some aspects of the e-commerce portion of your site.  So, please be sure to fill out this section properly.  All information here can be changed later from your website's administration tool.
